duo Nota

Established in 2018 at the city of Prague, Czech Republic, by two musicians.
The word "Nota" comes from a word "a note" in Czech.

 

Yuya Sakuma, violin

Born in Tokyo, Japan.
After finishing Kunitachi College of Music in Tokyo, Japan, has moved to Czech Republic.
Studied in Prague Conservatory and the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague.
Now working as a 1st violin player at Pilsen Philharmonic Orchestra.

Shoko Kono, piano

Born in Osaka, Japan.
Started learning to play the piano at the age of 7, under professor Keiko Omura.

Graduated Toho Gakuen College of Drama and Music.
While studying at the school she has performed solo and chamber pieces at regular concerts and graduation concert,
which are performed only by the selected students. Also selected as a participant of each masterclasses.

Joined at the masterclasses which are held at University of Music Freiburg and The Fryderyk Chopin University of Music,
both of them has got diplom and performed at the final concerts.

After moving to Prague, studied at the Prague Conservatory under prof. Milan Langer
and the Prague International Conservatory under prof. Norbert Heller, got diplom specialist.

Studied at music department of the University of Ostrava under prof. Eliška Novotná, finished bachelor degree.
Continued studying at the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague under prof. František Malý.
While studying, she has played the piano concerto by J.S.Bach with Chamber Philharmonic Orchestra of South Bohemia.
Has finished her master degree at the year of 2018.
